The E-Keralam Project, launched by Kerala State Rutronix under the Department of Industries and Commerce and the Khadi and Village Industries Board, is part of the Kerala Government's 100-Day Action Plan aimed at building a digitally empowered society. Guided by Government Order G.O.(Rt) No.1103/2020/ID dated 24/12/2020, the project promotes digital literacy through training at panchayat and school levels and supports small-scale entrepreneurs in adopting digital tools for business and livelihood enhancement. With the "Digital Seva Kendra" initiative, it’s creating a cutting-edge digital ecosystem that connects everyone—citizens, students, small businesses, and senior citizens—empowering women, fueling innovation, and driving Kerala’s socio-economic progress into the future.
The E-Keralam project will be implemented by identifying and empowering women entrepreneurs with an interest in digital technology and entrepreneurship. The first phase aims to establish 1,000 Digital Seva Kendras across Kerala, strategically positioned within a three-kilometer radius to ensure inclusive access to digital services. These centers will function as one-stop digital service hubs and are expected to generate approximately 5,000 employment opportunities.

With immense pride and excitement, Kerala State Rutronix—a pioneering institution established in 1990 to uplift and empower rural women through technology and self-employment—now takes a bold leap forward with the launch of e-Keralam 2025.
This visionary initiative is more than just a project—it’s a movement. e-Keralam aims to ignite a digital revolution across Kerala by promoting digital literacy and entrepreneurial growth, reaching deep into our panchayats and schools through both online and offline platforms. Designed as a Digital Community Hub, e-Keralam is set to bridge the urban-rural divide and democratize access to technology and digital services for students, senior citizens, small-scale entrepreneurs, the general public, and most importantly—women.
As a key part of this mission, Rutronix proudly presents the Digital Seva Kendram—a women-focused initiative that envisions the establishment of 1,000 centers across Kerala in its first phase alone, unlocking 5,000 new job opportunities and laying the foundation for inclusive digital empowerment.
