E-Keralam Digital Hub is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of every citizen, student, entrepreneur and business that accesses our Digital hub services. This policy explains how we collect, use, safeguard and manage your information while delivering digital public services across Kerala.

01 Information We Collect

Depending on the services you access, we may collect:

  • You provide: name, address, email, mobile number, date of birth, photographs and supporting documents, government ID details (Aadhaar, PAN, etc. only when legally required), education and business registration information, and payment details for paid services
  • At hub visits: visitor registration, appointments, service requests, feedback forms, and CCTV footage for premises security

02 How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only to process Government Digital Services, verify eligibility for citizen services, schedule appointments, support entrepreneurship and digital literacy programmes, conduct AI/STEM training, provide career guidance, respond to enquiries, and meet statutory or Government reporting obligations.

Your personal information is never sold or rented to third parties, and Government-related information is used only for the specific purpose it was submitted for.

03 Sharing Your Information

We share information only with:

  • Course trainers & mentors — to deliver training and guidance
  • Payment processors — to securely process fees
  • Technology service providers — to host and secure our systems, under confidentiality obligations
  • Law enforcement or regulators — only when legally required

We never share information with unrelated commercial third parties for marketing.

04 Security & Retention

We apply access controls, encrypted storage and regular reviews to protect your data. Information is retained only as long as necessary to provide the requested service or meet legal obligations, then securely deleted or anonymised.

05 Your Rights & Choices

You may request a copy of your information, ask us to correct inaccuracies, request deletion (subject to legal requirements), withdraw consent for optional communications, and ask which hub or department has accessed your records. Contact your local hub coordinator to exercise these rights.

06 Cookies & Children's Privacy

Our website and LMS use cookies to keep you signed in and track course progress; you can disable these in your browser settings, though some features may not work properly. Hub programmes for participants under 18 require guardian or institutional consent, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children outside a supervised educational programme.

07 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve or as required by law. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and, where appropriate, communicated through the LMS or hub notice boards.
